Dry Body Brushing

An ancient technique, dry body brushing involves using a natural bristle body brush on bare, dry skin, without water or any cosmetic products.

It is also known as lymphatic brushing. The benefit? It stimulates both blood and lymphatic circulation.
What is the lymph? A biological fluid consisting of a network of vessels, nodes, tonsils, the spleen, and the thymus.
What is its role? The lymphatic system cleanses the body of infectious agents and defends against disease. Lymphatic circulation is much slower than blood circulation and relies entirely on muscle movement and respiration. The more dynamic the lymphatic flow, the more effective its cleansing action, leading to better overall health.
The benefits of dry brushing? It cleanses both from the inside and the outside:
Helps the skin eliminate dead cells accumulated on the surface.
Improves tissue oxygenation.
Drains toxins through the pores and by stimulating the lymphatic system.
An excellent anti-cellulite method.
Breaks down fatty deposits under the skin and firms the epidermis.
Eliminates the sensation of heavy legs when used regularly.
Effective against stretch marks and scars (provided they are old and fully closed).

How to Practice Dry Body Brushing
Use a soft-bristled brush made from natural fibres.
Perform the ritual in the morning before showering.
Optionally, you can practice this once a week in the evening without a subsequent shower.
Brush the entire body, excluding the face or any irritated areas, without using excessive force.
